We don’t just treat behaviors—we build stronger families.

Meet Tim, Founder of Peak Parent Coaching

I blend my extensive experience in behavioral healthcare with a deep passion for helping families thrive. I bring over 29 years of experience in a variety of treatment environments including residential treatment, wilderness therapy and intensive community based programs. During this time, I’ve worked with a wide range of diagnoses and family dynamics, helping achieve successful and sustainable outcomes. My journey in parent coaching was a natural evolution for me, combining my diverse professional background with a commitment to helping families achieve lasting, meaningful change.

As a native of Western New York, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from Niagara University. In 1996, driven by my love for skiing and the outdoors, I moved to Colorado. Here, I began combining my passion for wilderness with behavioral healthcare. Over the next six years, I have worked as a residential staff member and field guide, leading wilderness trips with teen boys. My expertise soon expanded from residential treatment and wilderness/experiential work to community-based care, ultimately bridging experiential therapeutic modalities with a more holistic, integrated approach to treatment.

My deep passion for parent and family coaching has led me to specialize in helping parents become confident, nurturing leaders within their families. Throughout my parent coaching, family intensives, and experiential/adventure sessions, I empower parents to lead with intention, clarity, and compassion.

At Peak Parent Coaching, my guiding philosophy is simple:

“Taking a principled-based approach to helping parents emerge as leaders raising responsible and healthy functioning adults".

  • "Working with Tim has genuinely transformed how we approach parenting. The insights and guidance we've received aren't just theoretical – they translate into practical strategies that have improved our daily interactions and, most importantly, strengthened our relationship with our child. What stands out most is Tim's ability to meet us exactly where we are, over and over again, without judgment, and help us see new paths forward that feel authentic to our family rather than prescriptive or one-size-fits-all and anchored to proven methods that work. The changes we've experienced have been real and lasting. We're more confident as parents, our home feels calmer, and we have tools we can rely on when challenges arise. Tim's ongoing support continues to help us navigate new situations as they come up, and we're grateful to have him as a partner on this journey. For any parent wondering whether this kind of support is worth the investment – it absolutely is. The impact on our family has been invaluable."

We are better parents today for all of our kids by employing the tools Tim taught us and are incredibly grateful for the compassionate support and expertise provided throughout this journey, as it has truly made a positive impact on our son's life as well as improved our family dynamics."

Parents of 19-year old on the autism spectrum

  • "Tim facilitated a clear and compassionate environment that enabled me to learn as much about my own parenting triggers and unhelpful responses as my middle schoolers’ behaviors. With Tim’s guidance, we learned to listen and communicate in new and positive ways that have served us well into the teenage years."

He has seen it all in his years of practice, and his deep experience means nothing fazes him. He is an invaluable ally in helping me rationally and responsibly respond to my teens' challenging behaviors."
